Meeting notes:
We started off the meeting by introducing ourselves. Afterwards, we moved onto thinking about out roles and responsibilities within school as a school councillor. Some of the ideas that we came up with were:
Help to fix problems in school.
Make sure everybody is happy.
Make sure we have a nice school environment.
Anti-bullying – Kind hands, respectful words.
Make sure everybody is following the golden rules.
Help look after our peers in a time of need.
Following on from this we had a think and discussion about our school’s behaviour policy, restorative practice. We came up with some scenarios to act out and deal with them following our behaviour policy.

Today the children learnt about mental health. They have learnt about different emotions and how to deal with them. The children had some lovely activities to take to their classes to monitor the mental health of their peers.
Mental Health
Today we had a school council meeting and we learnt about restorative practice. The children have learn how to deal with conflicts and have already began helping other children in the playground. We are very proud of our school councillors!
